    The Chair of Organisation, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship (Professor Carolin Häussler) at the University of Passau invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher (with the opportunity for habilitation) to start at the earliest convenience, but not later than 1 September 2024.

    This is an 0.75 full-time equivalent position, based on a fixed-term contract valid for a period of three years, with the option of renewal and extension to a full-time position.

    Remuneration is in accordance with pay grade E13 of the German public-sector collective agreement, TV-L; the salary step depends on your qualifications and experience.

    The project The project in the field "Science of Science" investigates how different forms of competition shape the behaviour of researchers and ultimately influence the nature of research, collaboration and research progress.

    It is part of the DFG Research Unit (FOR 5234) "Multiple Competition in Higher Education", which consists of members from numerous universities and research institutions.

    Within the framework of the interdisciplinary network (economics, business administration and sociology), coordinated support is provided for early career researchers, offering attractive conditions for further academic qualification.

    What we seek You are a highly motivated and passionate researcher who has completed (or is about to complete) a doctoral degree in innovation, applied economics or a field relevant to the project.

    You have demonstrated outstanding research potential through excellent doctoral research, and enjoy working in diverse and interdisciplinary teams. Very good analytical skills and a keen interest in questions related to the science of science and innovation.

    Willingness to proactively participate in the development of ambitious quantitative empirical research projects and to publish in leading academic journals.

    Prior experience with empirical-quantitative research methods would be advantageous.

    Ability to work in a team, open-mindedness, and the motivation to work on a research project independently, diligently and under pressure.

    Excellent spoken and written English language skills. Knowledge of German would be advantageous but is not a requirement. What we offer you A dynamic and international environment, with research and travel budget.
