    Job Description:

    The position is within Aerostack GmbH, a Joint Venture between Airbus and an automotive company, part of the Airbus strategy to accelerate Zero Emission Aircraft development and build competences and skills in the technology domain.

    In order to support the Testing Team in Dettingen an der Erms, a vacancy for a Fuel Cell Stack Test Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen at Aerostack GmbH.

    The job holder reports operationally and functionally to the Head of AEVT

    Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

    • Planning, coordinating, executing of tests together with our R&D departments
    • Analyzing and interpreting test results
    • Writing of test reports and safety documentation (e.g. operation instructions, working directives a.s.o)
    • Coordination of the implementation of test rig extensions (e.g. additional valves) in our test benches by our external suppliers as well as helping with the commissioning.
    • Troubleshooting and solving of unforeseen test bench or stack operation errors
    • Supervision of maintenance at the test benches
    • Support of our verification team with qualification test planning
    • Inquiring and selecting external test facilities based on their suitability for our tests
    • Installation and commissioning of our fuel cells in our in-house as well as at external test benches
    • Writing and editing of test bench scripts
    • Surveillance of test procedures

    Required Skills:

    • Master's degree in engineering electrical / chemical / mechanical / aerospace or similar domain
    • Familiar with test benches and (fuel cell) operation. Knowledge of MS2-test benches preferred
    • Familiar with data analyzing tools. Knowledge of Diadem preferred
    • 2 years of work experience in testing preferred
    • Python coding skills preferred
    • Understanding of physical processes, conditions and limits of fuel cell operation
    • Ability to work independently
    • Independent and practical work attitude, fair team player, high level of flexibility
    • Capability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
    • Availability to travel within Germany
    • Fluent professional English & German
