    Filmbankmedia is the trading name of Filmbank Distributors Limited, a joint venture company owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment, Sony Pictures Releasing and NT Digital Partners.

    Established in 1986 to handle non-theatrical distribution (public screenings outside of traditional cinema and home viewing) on behalf of a number of studios and distributors. Filmbankmedia now represents many of the leading Hollywood, Bollywood and independent studios and distributors in over 100 countries internationally - delivering content to a diverse range of sectors including; hotels, trains, buses, schools, film clubs, outdoor screenings and many more.

    Your New Role

    Filmbankmedia is searching for a highly motivated and results-oriented person to spearhead the expansion and advancement of our licensing business in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GAS) region. This role is pivotal in elevating our presence in the market and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, client acquisition, and in-depth market insights.

    This role will be based in Germany and will involve travel throughout the territory.

    Primary Job Position

    Identify new business opportunities to sell product represented by Filmbankmedia across a range of markets within the GAS region, maximising revenue and margin to the company on a sustainable basis.

    Business Development
    • Principal contact for new non-theatrical business, from customer sourcing through to commercial negotiations and contracts
    • Work with our local partner to develop, implement, and execute strategies for expanding Filmbankmedia's licensing business in the region
    • Identify and engage potential clients, content owners, and licensing prospects
    • Establish and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders in the local market
    • Build strong relationships with new customers to create an understanding of their business
    • Lead partnerships from the early-stage relationship building and collaboration phase, commercial negotiations, to the drafting of deal terms through long form agreement and deal execution
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive dynamics, and industry trends in the German non-Theatrical sector
    • Evaluate the competitive landscape and regulatory environment to formulate informed business strategies
    • Become the company expert on key new business market sectors, attending key industry events and conferences, reporting competitor initiatives and technology / market / customer trends to the Executive Management team
    Internal Management
    • Provide recommendations for new business growth to the Executive Management team, clearly demonstrating the business case and rationale for proposed actions
    • Provide best practice and share knowledge with colleagues across other regions (where appropriate)
    • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Filmbankmedia teams including Sales, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Technical divisions
    • Liaise with key stakeholders to manage return on investment, identify priorities and request development funds as required
    Sales and Marketing Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design and execute marketing campaigns and collateral that resonate with the German audience
    • Boost customer engagement through targeted promotional efforts
    Revenue Growth
    • Work proactively toward revenue targets, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to meet and exceed objectives
    Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
    • A minimum of 7 years' experience within the commercial licensing background
    • A proven Sales track record in International Business Development within Entertainment Sector
    • Ability to negotiate with people at all levels including internal and external stakeholders
    • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
    • A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities
    • Experience in product development and contributing to pricing policy discussions
    • Ability to manage prospective client expectations and keep promises
    • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
    • Ability to work as a remote individual
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills essential
    • Numerate and articulate with the ability to analyse & prioritise effectively
    • Personable 'can do' attitude
    • Proficient in English and German, with excellent communication skills
