- Drive activities at the construction site to achieve contractual goals, acting as the main contact for the customer in all contractual matters, with authority over subcontractors and Hitachi Energy construction staff. Ensure all site personnel are well informed about the Scope of Work (SoW) and Division of Work (DoW).
- Manage change control on the construction site, including change orders to subcontractors.
- Ensure all tests are conducted and accepted by the customer according to contract conditions. Promote a culture of understanding and compliance with the company's, customer's, and local authorities' health, environmental, and safety requirements throughout the site staff.
- Ensure all activities are performed with the expected quality and that all quality records are created and properly archived.
- Ensure all activities are carried out within the contractually defined schedules and milestones. Understand the project budget and ensure that the costs for site activities remain within budget.
- Maintain structured, up-to-date, and reliable documentation on-site, ensuring work is carried out according to the latest approved processes, instructions, and guidelines.
- Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled to our customers' satisfaction.

- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Recognized certifications and training in Health, Environment, and Safety areas. IOSH or NEBOSH preferred.
- Experience as a construction manager on industrial construction projects with a high level of complexity and responsibility. Able to present successes, failures, and lessons learned.
- Experience with HVDC converter stations is desirable.
- Understanding of construction contracts with typical terms and conditions.
- Experience in construction, installations, and/or commissioning.
- Willingness to work on-site at the construction site.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Salary payments according to IG Metall wage agreement, including tariff special payments.
- A 35-hour workweek with flexible hours and a time account.

Job Title: Construction Site Manager
The Construction Site Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all activities at the assigned construction site. This position is on-site for a minimum of 3 years at various locations in Germany and then in Germany or another country where Hitachi Energy carries out projects.
