Job Title: Social Educator (m/f/d) or equivalent qualification

Full-time or Part-time position

The Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in Stormarn provides professional services for children, youth, and families in the Stormarn district. Our work is guided by AWO's core values: solidarity, tolerance, freedom, equality, and justice.

We are currently looking for a Social Educator (m/f/d) for our Children, Youth, and Family Support services in the Stormarn district (based in Bad Oldesloe or Glinde).

The position is available in Full-time or Part-time with an unlimited contract. Our services under the framework of child and youth welfare include various support programs such as Family Support, Supportive Guardianship, Flexible Aid, Supervised Visitation, Foster Parent Counseling, Pedagogical Groups, Child Protection Specialist, among others.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing guidance and support to families
• Ensuring child welfare
• Caring for children and young people
• Assisting in coping with personal and family crises
• Supporting parents in their role and tasks
• Assisting in resolving living situations
• Documenting case-specific information for planning
• Actively participating in professional networks
• Collaborating with the General Social Services (ASD) of Stormarn district

You are a good fit for us if:

• You are a Social Educator or possess a comparable qualification
• You can speak multiple languages (optional)

• You have experience in psychosocial work with children, youth, and families
• You have good boundary management and self-reflection skills
