42 Berlin is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating up to 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment.

42 Berlin is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded 2013 in Paris and today trains 18'000+ students in 50 schools. At 42 Berlin we set out to educate the next generation of German software engineers to build the future of our societies.

Tasks

As Pedagogy Intern, you will support the Pedagogy team to enable the smooth running of Piscines and oversee that the Students complete the Common Core and move on to the Advanced Curriculum. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and facilitate all aspects of the Piscines (September - October) and prepare the kick-off week for the next batch (November)
• Onsite presence for dealing with students' everyday problems (questions about projects, exams, time management, motivation)
• Improve the automated monitoring system for the 42 Berlin campus
• Core Curriculum monitoring (Progress, Pace system, Activity Tracking)
• Support the Pedagogy Lead with the development of research topics and data analysis
• Support with community building and events
• Maintain internal tools, knowledge base and documentation

Requirements

Essential

• 42 or similar education
• Dedicated to student success and the 42 model
• Right to live and work in Germany
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English
• Friendly, kind, helpful, proactive and flexible personality
• Pragmatic, solution focussed mindset
• Alignment with our values (inclusive and open minded)

Beneficial

• Experience in C, C++, Shell scripting, Python or Data analysis
• Experience with the 42 API
• German and/or other languages skills
