Aastha Thapaliya

I am Aastha Thapaliya, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Medical Engineering at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. I have been in Germany for two years, and I lived in Nürenberg for eighteen months. I am originally from Nepal. My journey began in Kathmandu, Nepal, where I spent several years as a Google Local Guide. 

My work experience includes several years as a Google Local Guide in Kathmandu, Nepal, where I led informal tours highlighting the city's historical and cultural landmarks. I also participated in and led tailored food tours, introducing groups to local cuisine. These roles allowed me to develop strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, all of which I bring to my current endeavors in Nuremberg, Germany. 

While I have not undergone formal training specific to tour guiding, my experience as a Google Local Guide and leading food tours in Kathmandu has equipped me with valuable skills in communication, organization, and providing engaging, informative experiences for visitors. These hands-on experiences have been my primary training, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of how to connect with diverse audiences.
