Dear Madam/Sir 

My name is Beyza, attorney at law from Turkey – Ankara Bar Association, having master degree in Berlin. I have been working in Nazalı Attorney Partnership, an international law firm, in the department of Competition, Compliance and Regulatory Law for almost 3 years. We have domestic and international clients which can be seen in legal 500 Tier 3 as competition team. Currently, I am having a master degree on European and International Business, Competition, and Regulatory Law at Freie Universitat-Berlin to strengthen my academic knowledge on these areas. 

During my experience in almost three years, I have reviewed and gave opinion on several business contracts, distribution and supply agreements. I have also pretty much involved in compliance projects and audits in several markets such as fast-moving consumer goods, energy and digital industries. I have drafted written defences in FMCG, Labor market, digital markets investigation which are the hottest investigations carried out in Turkey. Additionally, I filed merger cases to Turkish Competition Authority. My first merger case was during my internship, and it was a complex case which is about the takeover of small companies that are producing solar energy by Japan Company which has complex control structure owning several mother companies. My manager has given this responsibility to me and I have concluded this merger application in a successful way and get the authorization from the Turkish Competition Authority. Following this, our client consulted us for their follow up takeovers. Therefore I can say that I like to have responsibilities and come over, achieve them. 

In addition to my work experiences, I have also authored several antitrust articles such as “Director Disqualifications Implemented by the UK Competition Authority as a Type of Deterrent Sanction”, “Competition Compliance Programs”, “Maintaining Data Privacy in Examination of Personal Portable Devices During On-Site Inspections Conducted by the Turkish Competition Authority” and “Exchange of Information Under the Umbrella of Association of Undertakings in Light of Three Recent Decisions of the Turkish Competition Authority”. In addition to these, together with my master program I will be having deep knowledge in International and European IP, Telecommunication and Energy law. After my graduation, I would like to continue my career in the legal and compliance department of an international firm or in an international law firm in the department of antitrust-competition in Bruxelles or Germany.  Considering my experiences, background, and my master’s degree, I believe that I am great fit for this position.
