Über Hyun Jung Lee:
Dr. Hyun Jung Lee (Grace) co-teaches the seminar on the Leading Cases on Human Rights Law. Grace received her law degree from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea, a Master Human Rights (M.A.), and a Ph.D. (Dr. jur.) from FAU. Her research has been published as a book with Springer in 2022 (Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation – Jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Korea). Currently, her research focuses on comparative constitutional law, EU anti-discrimination law, the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Korea.
Erfahrung
s a representative attorney at law, she practiced law mainly as a litigation lawyer in criminal, civil, and human rights lawsuits until she joined the master program of Human Rights at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. She thus holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights. In her master’s thesis, she wrote on “European Court of Human Rights and Same-Sex Marriage: Proportionality or something else?” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Laura Clérico.
Since April 2018, she works as Research Associate at Law Faculty and teaches proseminars of ‚Problem of Constitutional Interpretation‘, ‘EU non-discrimination law,‘ ‚case laws of European Court of Human Rights‘ at the Law faculty of the FAU.
