Jan Baszak

Hi! I'm Jan - graphic designer and sculptor from Poland, based in Berlin. I have broad experience in branding, digital and print.

As an artist, I work closely with Henrike Neumann and Zorka Wollny - Berlin-based artists. Futemore I have a
couple of years of experience as a photo editor and graphic designer in print and online. I gained invaluable
knowledge in Warsaw-based PR agency The Icon and Berlin-based LGBTQIA+ film and book publisher Salzgeber.
There I had the opportunity to work for brands such as Levi’s, Hermès, Zalando, WurstFilm, Cookyboys and for
multiple international film directors. During my years of experience, I created numerous printed & social media
ads, press kits, leaflets and books. I had the pleasure of creating posters for the German movies such as “No
Skin of my Ass”, “Super 8 1⁄2”, “Hustler White”, “Bettina” and “Firebird”. I also created international posters for the
movies “Schochen” and “L’État et moi”. Furthermore, in my artwork, I am highly interested in the mechanisms
of DIY culture and coziness and how they are linked to personal experience.

I graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Poznań (BA) and the Academy of Art (MA)
in Szczecin where I worked as an Assistant at Artur Malewski’s Studio of Sculpture and Space Activity. I
also finished postgraduate studies at the Polish-Japanese Academy of IT in Warsaw.
