Jan Phillip Eggers

As a Master's student in the field of Financial Economics, I have a solid understanding of financial markets and financial analysis. My approach to work is characterised by precision and a methodical approach. In the future, I would like to further expand my knowledge and skills in the analysis of financial data as well as in the area of M&A.

I completed a challenging internship at EY, with a focus on audit, and gained valuable experience in auditing principles and practices. During my time as an intern I conducted substantive testing on financial statement items, including revenue recognition, expenses, and balance sheet accounts. Additionally, I participated in various phases of the audit process, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting. Based on my tasks I developed strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience in data analysis and interpreting financial information. Overall, I gained proficiency in using audit software to enhance audit procedures and efficiency, while working collaboratively in a team environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Currently, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Financial Economics at Maastricht University, Netherlands, with a strong academic background in economics, finance, and quantitative methods. I possess a deep understanding of financial theory, econometrics, and statistical analysis, as well as their practical applications in financial decision-making. Furthermore, I have strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and meet deadlines
 

Prior to my Masters I obtained a BSc in Economics and Business economics. I specialised in the fields of international business economics with a major in accounting. The focus of my studies lied on finance as well as management- and financial accounting with additional focuses on economics and management.
