My work at the Institute for Future Fuels within the Department for Chemical and Physical Fundamentals focuses on the conduction and evaluation of chemical experiments for the reforming of biogas. This includes:

Conducting thermal tests to characterise and assess temperature profiles within the reactor
Performing chemical experiments to advance biogas reforming processes
Experimental characterisation of various catalysts
Assessing key reaction parameters such as selectivity, conversion, turnover frequency , etc.
Investigating catalyst deactivation mechanisms, particularly carbon deposition
Evaluating boundary conditions to optimise the process efficiency

My duties within the plant engineering team for the production of tablets and capsules included:

Communication with manufacturers regarding offers and User Requirement Specification (URS)
Qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ) of production equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training of employees
Optimisation of production equipment and processes
Close cooperation with quality assurance, environmental health and safety team & organisation of meetings
