Mahima Chhikara

I am a third semester Georg-August University postgraduate student and at present writing my master thesis.

I gained experience by working as a data breach analyst, where I investigated security breaches and cybersecurity incidents. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to sharpen my legal research skills by working as a legal associate for a year during which I provided pro bono legal services to startups, through substantial legal assignments, including drafting summary judgment motions and conferring with clients regarding legal strategy. My role demanded me to draft counter and rejoinder affidavits, anticipatory bails and special leave petitions. Moreover, I was responsible for negotiations with the prosecution for plea bargains, drafting bail bonds and filing appeals.

During my internship experience, I have prepared and responded to letters of demand, drafted motions, drafted briefs in support of motions and other trial documents, took depositions (including expert witness testimonies), produced research memoranda, and designed and supervised document review.
