Über Eng. Mays Al-Tarawneh:

A modern medical engineer with a strong background in biomedical research, medical technology, and device development. I graduated in March 2024 from the German-Jordanian University in Amman and completed a one-year exchange program at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Gießen, Germany.

Fluent in Arabic (native), English, and German, I specialize in medical imaging, signal processing, and healthcare technology. My expertise includes Python, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Qt Designer, and Microsoft tools, with hands-on experience in biomedical research, medical device integration, and clinical applications. I have worked with ultrasound-based diagnostics, surgical technologies, and digital workflow solutions in healthcare environments.

Passionate about innovation in medical technology, I am eager to contribute to research and development, medical device engineering, and healthcare solutions to enhance patient care and optimize medical systems.

Erfahrung

I have diverse experience in biomedical engineering, medical technology, and healthcare IT, with hands-on involvement in research, clinical applications, and digital healthcare solutions. Currently, I work as a Student Assistant in Identity and Access Management (IAM) at Universitätsklinikum Leipzig, where I handle user account administration, access rights management, and security compliance to ensure efficient and secure hospital IT operations.

Previously, I worked as a Medical Device Specialist at Orkida for Medical Supplies in Jordan, where I provided technical consultation, customer support, and inventory management for medical and surgical devices. My role involved educating customers on medical equipment usage, overseeing product availability, and coordinating with suppliers.

My clinical experience includes an internship at Universitätsklinikum Gießen und Marburg (UKGM), where I trained in the Department of Sleep and Respiratory Medicine before transitioning to the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, where I assisted in open-heart surgeries and the operation of heart-lung machines. Additionally, I gained experience in orthopedic surgery, observing and assisting in knee joint replacement procedures using DePuy implants.

With a passion for medical technology innovation, I am eager to contribute my skills to research and development, medical device engineering, and healthcare system optimization to improve patient care and clinical efficiency.

Ausbildung

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the German-Jordanian University (March 2024) and completed a one-year exchange program at THM Gießen, Germany, focusing on medical imaging and device technology. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at Anhalt Hochschule, Germany, specializing in medical technology innovation and signal processing. My graduation project involved developing a GUI system for medical device maintenance using Qt and C++, showcasing my expertise in software development and medical device integration.
