Mehrnoosh Mazhar Sarmadi

I pursued my academic journey in the field of electrical engineering with a specialization in telecommunications at RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. During this period, I actively contributed as a student assistant at both the Institute of Semiconductor Technique and the Institute of Photonic Technique. My experience at these two esteemed institutions enabled me to gain experience in the field of measurement techniques.

Upon completing my Bachelor's and subsequently my Master's degrees, I embarked on my professional career as a research assistant at the Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin. HHI is widely regarded as one of the preeminent research institutes in Germany's telecommunications research landscape.

My working experience at HHI can be delineated into two distinct phases. The initial phase primarily revolved around my Master's thesis, which delved into the intricate realm of "Self-interference channel measurement with a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) utilizing a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system." Subsequently, the latter phase of my role as a research assistant was characterized by my active involvement in the design, development, and implementation of passive components for Terahertz (THz) and Millimeter-Wave radio transmission. This encompassed the design and optimization of antennas and the creation of specialized lenses, such as Rotman lens, for beamforming network applications. My contributions to these efforts culminated in the publication of six scholarly papers, and I am currently engaged in the preparation of forthcoming research publications.

Presently, I am fully immersed in the composition of my doctoral thesis, while simultaneously seeking opportunities to assume positions as a professorial assistant. My deep-seated passion lies in the academic domain, where I relish the prospect of nurturing young minds and guiding them towards a profound comprehension of telecommunication principles. I aspire to play a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of electrical engineers to meet the challenges of our evolving technological landscape. I am earnestly hopeful that I will find a suitable opportunity to pursue this fulfilling path in academia.
