MOHAMED REKIK

My name is Mohamed Rekik. I recently graduated as a Computer Science Engineer. I am incredibly passionate about Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics. I have dedicated a considerable amount of time and effort to Machine Learning and especially its applications in the field of Computer Vision. I was amazed by the magic of Machine Learning and I have been dedicating my education to that ever since. I have done a bunch of professional certifications, been reading a host of books and articles, even participated in national and international competitions and built several individual projects. I cannot put into words how excited I am about the application of machine learning to solve real world problems, and about the added value it can bring if we exploit the power of ML efficiently.

In the last 2 years, I was voluntarily providing Machine Learning and Computer Vision workshops and mentorships for beginners. Also, I was passionately building more complex projects. As an end-of-year project, I successfully built a License Plate Detection and Recognition system to be used in my university gate. Then, I got my first internship as a Deep Learning and Computer Vision Intern at Novel-Ti and I was able to build a Pose Estimation model and deployed it on a Jetson Nano card. Last but not least, I was selected to pursue my graduation project at the Labs of the HTWK university of Leipzig as an Artificial Intelligence Research Intern. In this internship, I was able to conduct research work on the implementation of Compressive Sensing technique based on Artificial Intelligence to reduce energy consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks.

I studied Mathematics and Physics in the Preparatory Institure for Engineering Studies for two years. Then, I continued my studies in the National Engineering School of Sfax for three years where I got a Computer Science and Applied Mathematics Degree.
