Paula Nájera

I ́ve always been a very resolutive and creative person, and those traits define how I work: in search of possible solutions to new problems and successfully completing the projects I am involved in. For one thing, the creation of a fictional art gallery project I carried out for my Erasmus Young Entrepreneurs scholarship. This project taught me how to materialize an art gallery business and gave me the opportunity to work in a gallery in Berlin. My hardworking nature, ambition and absolute commitment to each of my endeavors have been always rewarded. For instance, by giving me the highest marks in school and university. Yet, being such a relentless person came from my extreme curiosity and perfectionism. My interest in culture and society is genuine and if I can be a tiny part of them in my daily life, I will do my best to preserve and put culture in the spot it deserves.

Currently, I work as a Spanish Localization QA Tester for linguistic correctness in gaming in Lionbridge gaming evaluating and suggesting fixes in game texts, translations and proofreading of on-screen text, audio and subtitles to validate grammar, syntax, spelling and proper localization on a variety of different platforms. This summer, I worked as Online content editor at the Direktorenhaus Museum für Kunst, Design in Berlin writing exciting texts independently in the field of art and design, supervising the conception and implementation of press releases and the coordination of external service providers such as graphic designers, research assistants and proofreader. 

From Dec. 2020 to June 2021 I worked as and Art gallery assistant at The Institute for Endotic Research in Berlin with and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Grant awarded by the European Commission. My responsibilities were: maintaining inventory records, updating, and producing content for social media, contacting artists for collaboration, raising funds, and installing and dismantling exhibitions. As well as publishing support towards artistic and editing projects: writing, copy editing, printing, and distribution of publications.

From Sept. 2019 to July 2020, I worked as editor layout designer and translator at the UCM University’s magazine of German philology in Madrid (Spain) with a  collaboration grant with the Department of German and Slavic Philology awarded by the Ministry of Education. My responsibilities were: writing, proofreading, layout design and translation of content in Spanish and German. 

From Jan. 2019 to June 2019 I worked organizing cultural activities at the Faculty of Philology of the UCM in Madrid (Spain). My responsibilities were: organization of meetings, talks and cultural activities concerning literature and Documentation and management of the archive.

. Merit with distinction in Bachibac: Baccalauréat de Sciences (France) and Bachillerato de Ciencias (Spain). Average grade of 9 / mention Très bien (2013 - 2015).
