Pratigya Gyawali

Hello! My name is Pratigya Gyawali and I am very excited to apply for the data analyst role as an intern. While my previous career was in Ecology and Nature Conservation, I developed my passion for data analysis during my past job and my master. I have been working to develop relevant skills through coursework and training. Despite the fact that I lack specific expertise in data analysis mostly in this industry, I am confident that my transferrable skills mostly technical and also communication, and problem-solving ability qualify me for this position. I'm particularly drawn to data analysis since it gives me the chance to use complex data to make informed decisions. As a career changer, I'm fully committed to pursuing a new path in data analysis. While I don't have direct experience in this field, I'm eager to learn and apply my transferable skills to excel in this role.

"As an ecologist in the past, I have collected and analyzed complex data sets using statistical software like R and SPSS and used data visualization tools to communicate my findings to a wide range of stakeholders. I have also worked collaboratively with teams of researchers to develop and execute data-driven research projects, and I have a strong understanding of data management principles and practices. Despite the fact that I do not yet directly have experience in every field as a data analyst, I was committed to furthering my training, where I learned SQL, tableau for data visualization, and excel for data cleaning, modification, and analysis. I produced product revenue dashboards and dashboards for superstore sales as part of a few portfolio projects.

I hold a Master's degree in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation, which provided me with a strong foundation in scientific research and data analysis. But, I eventually learned SQL and Tableau since I intended to shift careers. I enrolled in a Google data analytics professional certificate program to further strengthen my analytical skills. It's a six-month course, and I anticipate getting it in some months.
