Über Rahul Kumar:
Currently residing in Germany, I am a highly motivated and research-oriented engineer with a deep passion for Autonomous Driving and Radars. My background is in algorithm development and sensor fusion, along with my commitment to innovative problem-solving.
In my current position at Hyundai Mobis MTCE in Frankfurt, Germany, I have been working on cutting-edge projects related to Radar Point Cloud Classification and Radar-Based SLAM for Parking Applications. My responsibilities include Ego Motion estimation, Doppler ICP for Ego Motion Estimation, and the development of ROS2-Based Visualizer Tools for Algorithm Development. I am also involved in Ego Pose estimation, Localization, and developing algorithms for Tracking applications.
Previously, I worked as a Software Engineer at Smart Microwave Sensor GmbH in Braunschweig, Germany, where I focused on Data Association of Radar Data for Multiple Object Tracking and Tracker Development for Highway Monitoring using Radar Data.
My experience also extends to roles at Aptiv TCI and Continental TCI in Bengaluru, India, where I developed algorithms for Multiple Radar and Camera Sensor Fusion, Object Detection, Classification, and Tracking. I have a strong foundation in Signal Processing, Data Association, and Sensor Fusion techniques, and I have contributed to various aspects of sensor fusion stack development, calibration, and synchronization.
Furthermore, I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in India, with a solid academic record.
In addition to my professional experience, I have pursued online courses to enhance my skills in Bayesian Statistics, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning. My commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field aligns with the dynamic nature of the Autonomous Driving industry.
