Design Hotels  / Head of PR & Communications

Strategic development & execution of international communications campaigns across print, broadcast and digital media, for the Design Hotels brand and member hotels, with the aim to generate positive media coverage, increase brand awareness and drive revenue. Working with the VP of Brand Experience to develop and maintain the Design Hotels Brand mission and core values across all written and visual communications. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Member of  Design Hotels Care - an internal program, launched as a benchmark for monitoring how Diversity and Inclusivity are being represented across all internal and external communications
• Lead, train, appraise and supervise a team of six people, including all recruitment responsibilities within the PR & Communications department 
• Develop and implement on and offline communications strategies for the Design Hotels brand and member hotels, spanning media relations, brand communications and social media
• Strategy management and handling of all reporting processes  of the Design Hotels Launch Campaigns - a cross departmental strategy used to communicate new hotels internationally across multiple channels
• Manage the day to day running of the Public Relations office, including handling of senior level media relationships & crisis management 
• Responsibility for achieving the department annual financial targets
• Supporting  the VP of Brand Experience to review, develop and implement new PR & Communications services annually 
• Management of department KPI’s, including tracking, reporting and setting of individual team member, and departmental goals
• Supporting the Director of Communications in the effective management and implementation of a cross departmental communications calendar
• Acting as the main point of contact for communications teams across Marriott International, the holding company of Design Hotels AG

Main Achievements:

• Creation, development, execution and annual review of Design Hotels Launch Campaign, the company’s first cross departmental service for newly opening member hotels
• Hosting the company’s first Media Zoom event - a Q&A session for travel media and the Design Hotels CEO, held during the height of Pandemic 
• Moderating a panel of 6 hoteliers on the company’s first Virtual Retreat - a virtual event for the travel trade community
