Thaer Abdelghani

I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kassel, majoring in thermal energy and process engineering. My bachelor thesis for the German Aerospace Center dealt with the topic "Influence of superheating in the evaporator of an ORC process for the utilization of low-temperature heat". I was able to gain relevant professional experience during my previous employment at AKG Thermotechnik GmbH in the research and development department as well as at the University of Kassel, at the chair of mechanical engineering in the department of technical thermodynamics. My main tasks ranged from supporting doctoral students and engineers in the planning of thermodynamic processes to the evaluation of measurement data and the preparation of experimental protocols and presentations. I was employed at Bombardier Transportation / Alstom in Fleet Engineering before, where I gained a lot of good experience and had a very good cooperation with my colleagues. Currently, I work as a mechanical engineer at the Federal Railway Authority. My tasks include utilization reviews of major projects such as Digitale Schiene Deutschland Stuttgart BS 1+2 and ABS/NBS Karlsruhe-Basel, as well as following up on identified problems in terms of construction and financing and evaluating DB AG's comments on the notice of recovery.
