Thorsten Seethaler

I am a proven project manager and team leader with nineteen years of professional
experience in the IT industry. Personally, I see my strengths in the multiple years of
experience of how to deliver successful IT projects as a project manager, my
technical background knowledge and my experience in leading people and teams.
Further I’ve proven experience in driving projects in complex industry sectors like the
oil and gas sector, Healthcare and the automotive industry. This combined with my
always customer focused mindset and my ambition to an efficient and successful
project delivery are building my skill reference base.
As a certified professional, I have experience with efficient methodologies and
procedures combining both IT and project management to the success factor.
My experience includes the management of the complete project lifecycle from the
definition of the project scope and goal to budget and resource planning, including
the implementation and delegation of responsibilities.
With my extensive background in the IT sector and people management skills, I have
guided very complex projects to a successful closure.
During my career I have been proud to work with and for large international
companies such as Porsche, Daimler, Maersk, and General Electric. I was
overseeing a variety of projects in an english -speaking and intercultural environment
in countries as Denmark, the UK and China.
As a leader, I believe in the open and efficient communication as a key success
factor. Further, it is essential to be always in contact with the team and being
reachable for issues and problems to support and solving them. I´m taking the
proactive lead from the beginning and encourage them to work motivated as a team
and giving the team the freedom to take own decisions in a defined area. This is
empowering the team to become a high performance team to provide the best results
in each situation. I’m also critical to the necessary quality, I’m solution orientated and
removing roadblocks to enable the team’s progress.
