Tim Herrlinger

I have plenty of theoretical and practical experience with planes. At an age of 13 I joined our sailplane club “Akademische Fliegergruppe Tübingen” and did my first solo at an age of 14. With 16 I started with the private pilots licence PPL-A and did my first solo in a Cessna 150. After that I made the TMG and UL- rating at our flight club and flew our legendary and aerodynamic improved Valentin Taifun17E, also abroad to Switzerland, Austria, France and Belgium(Aquila A210). In my flight log I have around 1000 starts and 400 hours of total flight time as responsible Pilot in command. I worked as a leader of our youth for 2 years and I´m also certified for that from the BWLV(Baden-Württembergischer Luftfahrtverband e.V) where I gained practical experience to lead a group. Every year we make a 2 week flight camp which was one year leaded by myself where I had to manage 7 young people. I also organized several workshops for interested people and fly with them. We also did the 12000h maintenance of our ASK-21 by our own. Every year I approximately work 70 hours for our flight club in our workshop in Tübingen. Last year we bought our own private plane which we had to work a lot on to finally get the permission to get the permit to fly. Right now the last steps are coming up to bring it back in the air again after 15 years. I also did the 100h- engine control(Rotax912S) and the 200h- airframe control of our FK9 from the club. My next step is to become a flight instructor, therefore I´m collecting more flight hours in the E-class.
I also worked on bike and car engines before on my own. I´m also a passionated RC Model pilot and constructor. We flew many big 1:3 planes also with combustion engines where you learn a lot. I did my practical internship as a Drone Pilot of the University of Tübingen where we had several campaigns abroad where I learned a lot about electrical engineering with the high end planes which have a wingspan of 4m, payload of 12kg and cost up to 50.000€.
In this winter my goal is to complete the engine maintenance course of the BWLV to get more familiar with flight engines especially the Rotax912S from our UL FK9 plane. Since this year I´m also elected as the workshop manager of our club.
I have a very structured and reliable way of working and if I want something I can work hard and put all effort in to reach my target. I am always ready to work and I can take responsibility of big projects.
