    As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will guide the technical data strategy of our sales process. You will be an important technical advisor internally to the sales team and work with the product team as an advocate of your customers in the field. You will help our customers to achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through the use of our Unified Data Analytics Platform, helping data teams finish projects in production and integrating our platform in their enterprise Ecosystem. Your work will help our customers innovate faster and make better use of their data to solve real-world problems, such as renewable energy and even developing the next generation of medicine.

    The impact you will have:

  • You will help establish our customer's data strategy and their steps to success, with our customers and with our teams
  • As an expert in the sphere of data analytics, you will be seen as an expert on issues of market usage of data architecture, design and implementation
  • You'll lead your prospects through understanding the value, the evaluation and adoption of Databricks
  • Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos and demo applications
  • Successfully integrate Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures
  • You'll engage with the data community by leading workshops, seminars and meet-ups
  • Together with your account executive, you will form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory to provide value

    What we look for:

  • Comfortable with navigating customer and partner hierarchies and building relationships
  • Passionate about working as part of a team to orchestrate success for your customer
  • Explain technical concepts to outcomes
  • Experience working in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with clients at different levels from leadership to technical teams to make them successful
  • Experience creating customer-facing collateral and displaying expertise in customer or industry events
  • Design architectures within a public cloud (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark
  • Comfortable writing code in either Python, Scala or Java
  • A core strength in either data analytics or data engineering or data science is advantageous
