Job summary
This postdoctoral position is focused on Preparing for a new world of weather and climate extremes: Multi-scale modeling and artificial intelligence for resilient energy systems.A global need to scale up reliable low-cost renewable energy infrastructure poses significant challenges due to increasing frequency intensity of climate extremes uncertainties in future weather patterns.
This project aims to address these challenges by integrating high-resolution climate model downscaling using both dynamical modeling generative AI with advanced energy system modeling.
The research is critical to developing strategies for climate change mitigation adaptation in modern power systems ensuring that renewable energy can be integrated at scale while maintaining grid reliability minimizing costs.
