As an Associate Principal Scientist specializing in Antiinfective Research within our Drug Discovery department, you will be a key player in our research and development endeavors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess innovative concepts and technologies for treating and preventing bacterial or viral infections in animals
• Plan and oversee microbiological in vitro and in vivo initiatives
• Guide and inspire colleagues in drug discovery projects
• Lead scientific dialogues within a global R&D framework

Qualifications

PhD in life sciences or veterinary medicine (biology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology) with a strong background in microbiology

Your profile

• Experience in microbiology field
• Preferably experienced in pharmacology
• 2-3 years in drug discovery and/or pharmaceutical research
• International post-doctoral experience is a plus
• Proven track record of scientific publications and presentations
• Proficient in English communication (both oral and written)
• Working knowledge of German
• Effective time management, organization, and problemsolving skills
• Strong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment

• Exploration of antibiotic alternatives (phages, endolysins)
• Surveillance programs on antimicrobial resistance trends
