Job Summary:

Our client, a leading international banking group committed to providing innovative financial solutions based in Frankfurt, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Outsourcing Director/VP to join their team. As the Outsourcing Director/VP, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing outsourcing activities within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry, while also optimizing operational efficiency through strategic outsourcing partnerships. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and geographies.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Outsourcing Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive outsourcing strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify potential outsourcing opportunities and evaluate third-party service providers to ensure they meet regulatory standards and operational requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory developments and ensure outsourcing activities comply with relevant regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, MiFID II, Basel III, and local regulatory requirements. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate regulatory risks associated with outsourcing arrangements.
• Vendor Selection and Oversight: Lead the vendor selection process, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and vendor performance monitoring. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure vendor performance and ensure service delivery meets quality standards.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and alignment with business objectives. Act as a liaison between business units, procurement, legal, compliance, and other relevant functions to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency through outsourcing initiatives. Work closely with business units to assess their outsourcing needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with outsourcing activities, including vendor risk, operational risk, and compliance risk. Develop and implement risk management frameworks and controls to ensure the integrity and security of outsourced services.
• Reporting and Governance: Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and governance committees on outsourcing activities, including vendor performance, compliance status, and risk exposure. Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

As Outsourcing Director/VP, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in outsourcing, vendor management, or related roles within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry, with experience working in a regulated environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing outsourcing initiatives, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
