Job Title: Molecular Biologist at DKFZ

Description:

This position involves conducting various molecular biology investigations, including:

• Isolation of DNA and cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from different tissue samples and bodily fluids
• Concentration determination and quality control of isolated derivatives, as well as purification of DNA fragments
• Determining DNA fragment lengths using the Agilent TapeStation System
• (cf)DNA sequencing using the Oxford Nanopore Sequencing technology
• Performing genome-wide methylation analyses to validate the Nanopore sequencing results

Requirements:

• Completed training as a laboratory assistant or technician with relevant experience
• Proficient in molecular biology techniques
• Fluency in German and English
• Responsible, meticulous, team player with strong motivation and dedication
• Ability to work independently and excellent communication skills
