    Head Chef - Kitchen (m/f/x)
    Wen Cheng & Han West are Asian restaurants and small snack bars that drive the whole of Berlin crazy. Wen Cheng with thick hand-pulled noodles at four locations and Han West with delicious dumplings from homemade recipes at 4 locations. Our restaurants enrich the capital's street food scene with flavourful food.
    As Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our system catering facility. You are creative, innovative and have a passion for first-class cuisine. Your tasks will include training and leading the kitchen team and ensuring compliance with quality and hygiene standards. You will work closely with management to make work processes more efficient and increase guest satisfaction.
    Tasks:
    • Management of the entire kitchen operation, including planning, organisation and monitoring of daily processes
    • Ensuring & maintaining quality and hygiene standards in the kitchen in accordance with applicable regulations
    • Collaboration with management and regular reports
    • Ensuring and achieving predefined KPIs
    • Active participation in quality assurance
    • Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including the management of staff, inventory control and financial performance
    • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth among employees
    • Training, scheduling, hiring and supervising kitchen staff
    • Interacting with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner


    Requirements:
    • Several years of professional experience in the catering industry, ideally already in a managerial position
    • Excellent knowledge of food and its preparation
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
    • Efficient selection of potential employees
    • Organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
    • English at least C1 level
