    The Technical Analyst's primary focus will be working to solution, review and develop SFDC and custom extensions (as necessary) to the product and integrating with other systems. The developer, in collaboration with the technology team will also help define how the solution will be implemented. Responsibilities include leading technical requirements gathering sessions, writing requirements and specification documents, any integration efforts and working with the solutions architect to determine the correct solution. As a key member of the IT organization, this role will be responsible and accountable for providing effective and efficient technical, functional, and reporting support for Salesforce. Overall, the SFDC Technical Analyst will need to analyze and develop solutions to business processes and changes that enable the business to function more effectively and efficiently.

    The role of the Technical Analyst requires both judgment and consensus building in areas such as:

  • The effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation chosen,
  • The appropriateness of the technology recommended,
  • Whether the elements of the business system and its proposed implementation have been adequately communicated and understood.
  • Providing recommendations on when to create custom objects or customer pages vs. use out-of-the-box functionality
  • The role for this position is to provide strategic technical direction, and hands-on development and administration of the global Salesforce product suite of tools, including, but not limited to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc. The person in this role will be an expert with web application development, integration methodologies and extensions, features, designing solutions, using the API, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Lightning Web Response (LWR), Lightning Bolts and other tools that extend the product (e.g. Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services) including the internationalization functionality in SFDC.

    What you will do

  • Provide overall effective development, administration, support, and best practice of Salesforce platform
  • Act as tiered support for high-severity and business impacting related issues
  • Ensure work is properly documented including all key customizations and report specifications
  • Support and build integrations with other business applications and Salesforce.
  • Implementation of required functionality and (approved) customizations
  • Follow proper controls in the areas of security, access, separation of duties, design and release standards.
  • Gather requirements and support UAT sessions with business unit stakeholders (as needed)
  • Ensure supports organizational business requirements.
  • Ensure high quality on time completion of all tasks, support services and verbal commitments.
  • Support and follow the standardized SDLC, project management and release management processes that are in place.
  • Collaborate with solution architect around technical and architectural guidance to align solutions to business requirements.
  • Make effective proactive value add recommendations followed up by action leading to positive concrete results contributing to business and IT success
  • Design, create and manage data imports and exports; Support the creation and development of new projects/data into the Salesforce platform
  • Analyze business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions that enable users success
  • Provide SFDC best practice recommendations during design phases.
  • Identify solution alternatives and make a recommendation as to the best implementation approach of the systems functions
  • Provide quality assurance on developmental and configuration changes.
  • Maintain Salesforce database and complete enhancements that support business processes.
  • Proactively communicate the status of your work to the senior SFDC analyst. Include current estimate-to-complete for your tasks, accomplishments, current workload, issues and roadblocks
  • Work closely with functional and technical resources during the build phase to ensure that the delivered software product will in fact fully satisfy all of the business needs for which it's intended.
  • Define high level test plans and test scenarios along with acceptance criteria for all systems functions. Assist with the execution of all testing and verification of expected results.
  • Provide regular and consistent communication to your business contacts on status of their issues or requests
  • Provide proactive identification and escalation of application issues that require an increased focus or management attention
  • Effectively manage change control throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Develop all requests to make them globally acceptable, since we have one instance across the world, the business uses worldwide.
  • Update/manage Clarios's development standards for SFDC.

  • Advanced understanding of data model including when / how to create custom objects vs. use out-of-the-box functionality
  • Experience integrating with other applications via real-time, batch, sync / async, data import / export procedures or common ETL methodologies
  • Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premises middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies
  • Advanced level understanding of information systems and their use in complex organization
  • Visual Force, Java-Script, XML, Apex Controllers, Triggers, APIs Batch Job, Web Apps Development (Java, HTML, ASP.NET, C#), SOQL and SOSL, DemandTools, SAML Single Sign on (via Salesforce), cloud technology integration
  • Help manage ongoing maintenance of the Salesforce environment and conduct long-term improvement efforts to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
  • What we look for

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience
  • 3+ years administration and declarative configuration
  • 5+ years development experience with Visual Force, Java-script, Apex controllers, Triggers, Batch jobs & standard SFDC components required
  • 5+ years platform development experience with SFDC Object design, SOQL & SOSL
  • 3+ years' experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Lightning bolts
  • Knowledge/experience with Lightning Web Response (LWRs) functionality
  • BA/BS degree in technical field or equivalent experience required
  • In depth knowledge of Salesforce platform (including administration, apex, LWC, visual force, limits, bulk apex, best practices, etc.)
  • Knowledge/up to date on current SFDC beat practices
  • Knowledge of Einstein & CRM Analytics a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Proven experience with business process optimization
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 2 Certification
  • Other Salesforce certification(s) preferred
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Lightning platform.
  • Agile Methodology experience preferred.
  • Angular experience is a major plus
  • 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce API and Web Services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.
  • Experience with other development languages (Java, JavaScript, C#) is a plus.
  • Travel up to 10%, if required by the business
