Your responsibilities at Lahnpaper:

• Lead development tasks/projects for manufacturing specialty papers/nonwovens
• Organize and manage operations in the development lab, including personnel responsibility
• Plan, prepare, and evaluate lab work
• Coordinate production trials with the Head of Product Development and Production
• Document results
• Provide technological advice and support sales in understanding customer requirements
• Assist in significant machine trials at customer sites
• Contribute to discussions on new technologies for manufacturing and finishing specialty papers/water-laid nonwovens
• Support production in process and manufacturing improvements
• Collaborate with procurement/suppliers to qualify new or alternative raw materials
• Assist in conducting and documenting internal audits
• Maintain master data/formulations in the internal ERP system

What we expect from you:

To ensure a smooth transition as our current Head of Development Laboratory approaches retirement, we are seeking an independent individual to take over the position. An ideal candidate would have a solid background as a paper engineer with experience in paper production or finishing development. Alternatively, candidates with experience as a papermaking master or chemical engineer are also welcome. Your ability to develop and implement innovative solutions will be highly valued. Team and communication skills, along with a structured, goal-oriented approach, analytical capabilities, technical understanding, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in German and English is a must for this role. You will report directly to the Head of Product Development.
