    The PMO Project Department Leader will assume responsibility for leading an international team of Project Managers who are tasked with delivering NPD, customisation and component engineering projects for Resideo's Global Climate Solutions business.

    You will leverage your strong engineering background to partner with business leaders to analyse and collectively manage current and proposed projects and budgets based on numerous key characteristics both business and technically related.

    The successful candidate will partner with our OEM customers to define product requirements, project performance and project deliverables. You will be instrumental in driving projects from conception through to release ensuring optimal execution.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Owns Portfolio budgets, stay within targets
  • Own the project portfolio partnering with engineering leaders and the product management leads to create and maintain portfolio priorities. Prepare and drive Stage 1 execution in partnership with Product Marketing, handover as required to Project Manager for execution. Produce road-maps & dashboard to run the business.
  • Accountable with the engineering lead and the marketing lead for the portfolio's financial success. Requires business acumen and understanding of margins and what drives them. Challenges projects that don't meet margin targets, Validate, and monitor financial feasibility of projects
  • Accountable to run key programs when assigned, drive to a successful conclusion, coordinating multiple projects and reconciling the inter-dependencies among them
  • Own talent development, skill sets, and capacity
  • Drive New Product Introduction process improvements and project management methodologies, leveraging best practices from across the business and from outside
  • Own training, mentoring, and coaching in the project management discipline. Ensure skills meet today's needs and the future. Develop succession and staff development goals
  • Develop soft skills and business acumen as well as program management skills. Facilitate communication among a program's cross-functional team, deliver high quality projects on time, on specification and on cost
  • Interface with ISC: purchasing, finance, manufacturing, etc. for successful program launch
  • Ensure the quality of the program before release to Beta and sales
  • YOU MUST HAVE:

  • PMO / Project Department leadership in an OEM environment within a global / matrix organisation
  • Experience working with diverse teams in multiple global sites
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing project managers
