We are looking for an experiencedAutomation Solutions Engineer (ASE) to join our Global ReliabilityMaintenance Engineering (RME) team, focusing on design, program,test and implement software solutions and processes that enhancethe productivity and quality of our fulfillmentsites.

This global role is an opportunity tobecome part of our team and make a real impact in different Amazonsites across the world, managing large-scale projects andinitiatives, providing technical support to local teams andcreating innovative solutions to adopt world class automatedtechnologies and systems.

In your role youwill:

Understand and troubleshoot materialhandling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrialnetworks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet,ASi), motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, andelectrical distribution systems.

Programming and sourcecoding for in-house built solutions based in PLC or PC controllersand SCADA/OEE platforms.
Lead international innovatesolutions related to Automation Systems.

ProjectManagement (PM) of large-scale initiatives that will require workactivities coordination of site-based Automation Engineers (AE) toaccomplish goals of the business.

Apply Subject MatterExpertise (SME) on troubleshooting and dive deeps for engineeringissues, supporting local teams to investigate the root cause andplanning actions to eliminate/mitigate the downtime of criticalassets.

Create, optimize and monitor Key PerformanceIndicators (KPI) for control the efficiency, availability andquality of the machines, generating reports for improvementpurposes.

Manage and deal with Vendors to plan andcoordinate tickets resolution for local teams or network wideissues.

Provide technical guidance and decision makingfor collaboration projects or initiatives with other Amazon teams,being a key stakeholder in supporting technical and major networksupport requests.

Ensure remote troubleshootingcapability is available on a rotational system to provide 24/7/365support for all hardware or controls software systems within thesites locations.

Is required totravel to sites for support around 30%. This role is for EU-D AETeam, which scope is within Europe.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor'sdegree

• Experience (noninternship) in professionalsoftware development
• Knowledge of systems engineeringfundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliabilityand scaling) of new and existing systems
• PLC Knowledgeand experience in troubleshooting different machines and devices.

Siemens or A&B min. requirement. Other types is aplus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrummethodology

• Experience building services using AWSproducts
