    HLX Life Sciences is looking for an experienced MSL for a US biotech, looking to challenge the status quo

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders, researchers, and healthcare providers in ophthalmology.
    • Present high-quality scientific information and respond to clinical inquiries, setting the stage for the integration of Key Account Managers.
    • Assist in clinical development activities, including site identification, investigator meetings, and patient recruitment for clinical trials.
    • Gather and analyze insights from the ophthalmic community to inform both medical and commercial strategies.
    • Collaborate closely with the commercial team to align scientific strategies with market access objectives, ensuring a unified approach to product promotion and stakeholder engagement across Europe.
    • Represent the firm externally by attending conferences and engaging in scientific discussions with peers and thought leaders.
    • Meet with HCPs externally to have detailed technical/scientific conversations about ongoing developments.
    • Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards across European operations.
    • Report directly to the SVP, Medical Affairs, while maintaining a functional connection with the Medical Lead, Europe.

    Qualifications:

    • An advanced degree in life sciences, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in ophthalmology.
    • Demonstrated capability to build and sustain professional relationships within the healthcare sector.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and analytical skills, essential for effective dissemination and discussion of scientific data.
    • Extensive willingness to travel to engage with stakeholders and attend industry events.
    • Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate in diverse settings.
