- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including biologists, pathologists, and data scientists to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain a web-based pathology workflow system
- Implement features for image upload, storage, retrieval, and visualization, ensuring compatibility with various image formats and data standards
- Develop interactive tools and interfaces to enable users to analyze and annotate pathology images
- Optimize system performance and scalability to handle large volumes of high-resolution pathology images and associated metadata
- Work closely with software architects and explain software architecture and rationale for decisions to other team members
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in web development with expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like or AngularJS
- Familiarity with back-end development using languages such as Python, C#, Ruby, or , and frameworks like Django, Ruby on Rails, or
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with data modeling, query optimization, and indexing
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including version control (e.g., Git), testing methodologies, and deployment strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in biomedical or healthcare-related projects is a plus
