The BIRKENSTOCK Group is headquartered in Linz am Rhein and has multiple locations in Germany, as well as distribution offices in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

    For our IT department, we are looking for a SAP Senior ABAP Consultant (m/w/d) at our locations in Cologne and Linz am Rhein.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • You will be responsible as an in-house consultant for the cross-module application development of our SAP systems, including the design and implementation of custom software solutions.
    • Your tasks will include providing internal consulting on development issues and specifying development orders (ABAP, JavaScript, SAP UI5, Fiori, etc.).
    • Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing the existing SAP ERP and future development solutions in the S/4 HANA environment.
    • You will conduct error analyses, eliminate software vulnerabilities, and ensure that newly developed or enhanced applications are integrable.
    • Moreover, you will support application managers, participate in SAP projects, and assist with migrations and SAP rollouts.
    • You will also assist in troubleshooting SAP systems, particularly in the case of program errors in 2nd/3rd level support.

    YOUR PROFILE:

    • You have a degree in computer science, relevant IT training, or practical experience in SAP programming.
    • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (ABAP OO) and SAP extension capabilities (Enhancements, User Exits, Modification).
    • Knowledge of multiple SAP modules, databases, Customizing, Migration, user interfaces, user permissions, as well as SAP Cloud systems and SAP S/4 Hana.
    • Expertise in ABAP, ABAP-OO, JavaScript, Fiori, and SAP UI5 development environments.
    • Fluent in both German and English.
    • Your self-responsibility and hands-on mentality make you capable of independently handling tasks.
