- Experience with modern particle detectors and data analysis techniques
- Hands-on experience in detector testing both in beam tests and in laboratory settings
- Experience with FPGA firmware development or software development for detector applications.
- Previous involvement in large scientific collaboration,
- Strong analytical skills as applied to solving problems
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of physicists, electronics engineers, and students.
- Interest in low-latency machine learning implementation on embedded systems
- Knowledge of high-speed optical links
- Experience with CMSSW is welcome.

Job description
You will strengthen the group's activities, and will play a pivotal role in the development and testing of the read-out chain for the CMS HGCAL. You will be integrated into a growing team of physicists and electrical engineers and will be expected to coordinate student work, and to represent the group at other institutions such as CERN and DESY. Furthermore, you will support QC tests of front-end electronics for HGCAL.
