Dual Role:
Plant Controller: To add value to the business by planning and analysing the financial performance of the plant and actively contribute to the plant management and their decisions. Support, drive and initiate continuous improvement. Support and align with the central (Finance) organisation.
SME Raw Materials: To provide a dedicated Controlling support to the Manufacturing and Plant Management for improvements and sustained improvement on raw material (Metal) and ODM consumption performance.
Plant Controller:
Business Partner to Plant Management
•Provide financial information to and actively advise the plant management team in financial and economical matters with the goal to optimise the financial results and to reach a sustained Year-on-Year improvement
•Evaluate and suggest plant related projects
•support medium term investment plans
•Initiate and support medium term financial and manufacturing performance plans
•Suggest and support, in co-operation with the Subject Matter Expert team, benchmarking / continuous improvement activities
•Provide to / discuss with the plant management team financial performance based on an automated and harmonised reporting information tool set + Address plant specific analysis requests (with support from Subject Matter Expert team)
Controlling / Finance
•Financial responsibility for ME closing (sign-off) - timely and reliable month and year end closing data in line with Ardagh guidelines.
•Analyse and comment significant changes compared to previous year, planning and target values.
•Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in financial aspects
•Monitor and support fixed asset / spares / raw material / finished goods accounting and inventory
•Co-ordinate Budget, Forecast process in the plants
•Manufacturing assumptions around line efficiencies, Spoilage, consumption of raw materials/utilities and Headcount
•Proposed Investment plan and Cost reduction Initiatives
•Plant Fixed Cost and Yearly review of costing base for Routing calculations
SME Ends:
•Standardisation and Automation of Manufacturing and controlling processes around Ends (both End plants) / work instructions / reporting
•Standard costing support on Ends incl 3 year forward looking view
•Drive continuous improvement projects with CI, Plant Managers, IT & Manuf. Directors
•Support as business partner to Manufacturing and plant management for specific analyses and Business cases on Ends (eg Re-closeable End)
•Support as business partner to IBP Team – Financial Implications IBP Scenarios
•Support of SOX controls / AGAM requirements – Ends related
•LRP process support/Support month end closing process Improvements/Back-up of SMEs / back-up of plant controllers during closing process
