We have been retained by the fintech arm of a global investment management company. The firm have been established to provide solutions beyond traditional investment management. They are an innovative, digital-first start-up that focusses on delivering wealth management technology solutions in the DACH market. They are a full-service independent digital wealth management distribution platform (execution and advice) for independent financial advisors (IFAs), IFA networks & intermediaries in Germany. Their ambition is to replicate this across the rest of the DACH region, Europe and beyond over the coming years. Their unique set-up allows the firm to draw on resources from its well-established parent company, whilst the start-up nature of the business unit ensures the culture is exciting, fast-paced and entrepreneurial. As the firm continues to grow at a rapid pace, we are looking for a Head of Business Excellence. This is a role centred around operational improvement, operational enhancement and operational efficiency. You will be part of a leadership team in a scale-up early on in its development to create & advance the activities that make the business run. This is a critical appointment. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of all other business functions and has a key perspective into what is happening across the firm. Working closely with the CEO and Managing Director in Frankfurt, this appointment will be part of the leadership team and will work closely with the key stakeholders across the wider group.
Key aspects of the appointment:
We are looking for an experienced financial services operations professional with a track record in dealing with BAFIN / WpIG license requirements. The successful candidate should also have been the person in charge of making operational efficiencies / enhancements. Proven experience with the 15 WpIG license requirements OR an established track record interacting with BAFIN regulator is required. The ideal candidate will be familiar with process methodologies, and PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma would be highly advantageous. The Head of Busienss Excellent would have used a variety of productivity tools and practices, and will know how to apply them in a group setting to increase efficiency.
The desired candidate will have a growth mindset; an ambition to innovate and will be passionate about building something new. Native German and business English is a prerequisite; however, we would also consider stand out candidates with business level German.
