At AGCS our Finance department has an in-depth understanding of the business, to deliver a best-in-class finance service. We work in close collaboration with other departments to drive profitability.
As a Finance Expert you are responsible for the delivery of Finance project & maintenance activities within AGCS Global Finance Solutions. You contribute as business expert / representative autonomously to the development and implementation of best practices respectively harmonizing of processes in your area of responsibility. You have to liaise with the CFO pillars, IT, process management and other AGCS and Allianz stakeholders and contributors inside and outside of the agile release trains.
In this role you will…. Contribute as expert for Finance business domains and/or represent Finance as proxy product owner or product owner in agile release trains and other projects and initiatives and develop further financial applications as well as the system architecture and process landscape in close collaboration with the CFO pillars, IT, process management and other AGCS and Allianz Group functions.
Support the execution of the Closing process, Planning process and Payment processing by coordinating and monitoring associated activities on issue identification and resolution, and also by analysing business related issues. Execute or contribute to the execution of governance processes in the responsibility of Finance Solutions.
Perform business analyses in the Finance domain in order to distil the essentials and the true business needs of the global AGCS Finance function (the "What"), as input for the work in projects and agile release trains. Review the audit findings that relate to the financial applications and processes. Identify possible courses of action to address findings. In collaboration with involved stakeholders implement steps to mitigate.
Work on change initiatives and solutions development within Finance Solutions.
Guide and mentor junior staff.
Proven experience in Finance with Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs management view) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting.
You have got already professional experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment with proven experience in application and process development in Insurance Industry.
You have effectively developed solutions (including implementation) to complex stakeholder requirements.
You have a solid understanding of data modelling, operations and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting and closing operations.
Ability to work as Proxy Product Owner and/or Business Expert in Agile Release Trains or other agile setups, applying the agile methods and behaviour and fostering them, while considering complex stakeholder structures.
You have an excellent analytical Thinking and Numeracy, you are able to identify patterns and root causes in complex data and processes to rapidly distil key issues and provide insight in various situations. You are able to analyse data with standards like MS-Access or SQL.
You have an excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
Fluent in English.
