    Bucerius Law School, supported by the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS and located in Hamburg, is the first accredited private university teaching law in Germany.

    The law school has an excellent reputation, aiming to prepare its students for professional life within the international practice of law and business.

    Applications are invited for a full-time position with an initial contract of two years, with renewal possible, starting no later than 1 September 2024.

    The successful candidate will work in our Foreign Language Communication Programme and report directly to the Director.

    Our Foreign Language Communication Programme offers Legal English courses with a focus on the fundamental principles of the common law system as practised in Anglo-American legal traditions.

    All our students speak fluent English and are highly motivated to improve their legal English skills.

    The English training is interactive, and topic based, covering the areas of Introduction to Anglo-American Law, Contract Law, Legal Negotiation, Law and Society (Mooting) and Legal Writing and Research.

    This is an extremely attractive post for a native English speaker with a sound legal qualification from a common law or mixed civil/common-law jurisdiction.
