    In the BCS Supply Chain Marine Bulk department, we are responsible for the transport of liquid chemicals in tank containers, barges and vessels, as well as tank management for numerous products.

    For our location in Hamburg we are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Operations Manager (m/f/d), limited for a period of 2 years.

    Your tasks:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, warehouses, customers and logistics service providers of HELM AG. You will also be responsible for visiting these partners on short business trips.
  • You will be in charge of the tank terminal management, all survey activities and the transport of liquid chemicals in vessels and barges. Your main tasks will be the preparation and dispatch of call-off confirmations to our customers, call-offs from our suppliers and the commissioning and monitoring of transports, customs stocks and warehouse stocks.
  • In this context, you will be in constant dialogue with colleagues and act as an interface to the product management of the Chemicals business unit and the internal service departments.
  • You will also manage administrative activities such as the preparation and implementation of monthly and annual financial statements or the processing of insurance claims.
  • As a team player, you are also happy to contribute to project work for the further development of the business unit.
  • Your profile:

  • You have a completed commercial or logistics apprenticeship with demonstrable experience in order and transport processing.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of transport by sea or barges have already been acquired in a similar role. Ideally, you are familiar with working with dangerous goods requirements.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
  • You are proficient in common IT applications such as the MS Office package, ideally you also have experience of working with SAP.
  • In a team you act as an open and team-orientated contact person. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and working on any problems in a solution-orientated way. You are also flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions.
