- In this exciting role, you will develop and test new computed tomography methods for our customers, ranging from system software and calibration to data analysis and visualization.
- You will, for example, design and implement methods that can be used to detect defects and evaluate your designs using real data.
- In order to lead your projects to success, you will work closely with experts in various fields such as X-ray computed tomography, image processing, visualization, software development, and marketing.
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a related field
- Strong background in modern software development (OOP, Git, etc.)
- Experienced in working with system and scripting languages (C++, C#, and Python), ideally also with GUI or visualization frameworks such as Qt and VTK
- Advantageous: Initial knowledge of computer tomography or image processing
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Development Center for X-ray Technology EZRT are developing novel cognitive sensor systems capable of generating comprehensive data from test objects. Our research group, »Context-sensitive sensor technology and automation« in Deggendorf focuses on innovative methods for the best possible data generation. Our research group, »Knowledge-based Image Processing and Visualization« in Passau, on the other hand, provides solutions that make it easier to analyze measurement data to gain a deeper understanding of the test objects.

The position is initially limited to 2 years, with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis with a preference, however, to have it filled as close to a full-time position as possible.
