    Your Responsibilities

    The Registrar reports directly to the Provost. The Registrar manages the examinations and Assessments Department. This position requires a combination of technical, and interpersonal skills. The Registrar must create and maintain collaborative working relationships with staff members, students, partner institutions and faculty.
    The Registrar acts as a central communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records management.
    The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the academic record, and ensuing that the required rules and regulations are followed.

    Responsibilities

    • Being the central point of contact for all student and staff enquiries related to examinations and assessments, and academic related registry enquiries, and academic progression.
    • Liaising with various offices in partner institutions
    • Contributing to reports for partner institution, including AMR reports, external examiner feedback reports.
    • Contributing to partnership meetings, validation and approval events dependent on requirement.
    • Producing and analysing data for various reports, board meetings, partnership documents.
    • To track student academic progress, and flag students who may be experiencing difficulties, need intervention, or to be forwarded to a withdrawal board due to lack of academic progress.
    • Preparing moderation for partner institutions. Ensuring that all work is up to the required standard before being sent to the partner institution for moderation.
    • Ensuring that all required regulations are followed when sending data and information to partner institutions.
    • Preparing all marks for approval by partner institution.
    • Preparing for and partaking in Examination Boards with Partner Institutions
    • Overseeing the Examinations and Assessments department, including but not limited to
    1. Issuing of Assessments, Grading, Grade Release
    2. Extenuating Circumstances Requests
    3. Academic Misconduct
    4. Academic Appeals
    5. Certification
    6. On Campus Examinations
    7. Student Progression and Completion
    8. Transcript Distribution
    9. Required Documentation
    • Issuing of completion documents to students.
    • Organising certification with partner institutions.
    • Participates in Commencement activities; certifies all internal student record documents related to degree completion.
    • Developing, evaluating, and implementing internal procedures where current procedures may be found to be lacking or in need of updating.
    • Is a member of the weekly academic council meetings.

    Your profile

    PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor degree & Master in the domain of business, management, law, or education
    • Prior administrative experience in higher education at University level
    • Prior experience in working in adult education
    • Expert knowledge of Windows OS, of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) and Microsoft Teams
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are both a must in this position due to the volume and importance of data handled on a daily basis.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to deal effectively with University faculty, students, administrators, and staff, as well as various outside organizations and agencies in enforcing key University academic policies.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines
    • The ability to work independently, whilst still following a strict set of regulations.
    • Fluent in spoken and written English (C2 level)
    • Sound knowledge of Educational Platforms (i.e. Canvas, Blackboard etc.)
    • Expert knowledge of timetabling software
    • Sound knowledge of study regulations and rules
