    Lead Developer - Computer Vision Applications

    Company: Schwarz IT AI Department

    You have the opportunity to take on a leading role in developing a generic software framework for computer vision applications. You will accompany, develop, and expand AI applications within the Schwarz IT AI Department from prototype and pilot phases to operationalized products, with a focus on computer vision.

    My name is Darius, and I am responsible for the Computer Vision Department, looking for you to strengthen my team. Schwarz IT functions as the central IT service provider for the selection, provisioning, operation, and further development of IT solutions for all divisions of the Schwarz Group, including LIDL, Kaufland, PreZero, and Schwarz Production.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You will design software and cloud architectures and develop software for various computer vision applications
    • You will write efficient and runtime-optimized code in Python and C++
    • You have a high standard for software quality and maintain it through automated tests, architecture, and code reviews
    • You will be part of a focused feature team and take on its technical leadership
    • You will proactively drive the development of a computer vision platform that enables quick and efficient industrialization of machine learning algorithms

    Your Profile

    • Deep mathematical understanding of various computer vision algorithms and models beyond simple usage of current state-of-the-art libraries and repositories
    • Practical knowledge in object-oriented programming with Python and C/C++, as well as container applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar providers)
    • Excellent skills in designing and developing software architecture and software for computer vision applications
    • Solid understanding of operationalization and deployment of software artifacts (CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, Testing)
    • Capability to comprehend complex issues and scenarios, analyze them in detail, and present the findings clearly to a non-technical audience
    • Enjoy working in a team, with the ability to independently and goal-orientedly coordinate and implement tasks
