- Shape or evolve the vision and roadmap of the Control product with SCADA-related functionalities for controlling our network elements and auxiliary systems in our modular platform for controlling and monitoring power grids,
- Take responsibility with your team for the further development and operation (You build it, you run it) of the software and processes related to Control in system management and Offshore Operations,
- Manage your backlog, create user stories, coordinate with other teams, and present in Sprint Reviews together with the team,
- Close collaboration with developers, architects, users, and domain specialists, as well as the other Product Teams of the Product Cluster,
- Act as a communication interface between developers and stakeholders,
- Plan, drive, and conduct Proof of Concepts, MVPs, and analyze potential technical solutions,
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain roadmaps, release plans, and operation plans for the developed product.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Physics,
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role,
- Excellent knowledge of agile methods, especially Scrum,
- Experience in developing software for technical applications, preferably in the field of power grids or SCADA,
- Analytical and strategic thinking and a high degree of independence and initiative,
- Ability to visualize and explain complex technical issues clearly,
- Entrepreneurship with creativity for new solution approaches or solution-oriented product thinking,
- Team player who supports other teams with their knowledge,
- High willingness to learn and willingness to familiarize oneself with current/new topics,
- Languages: Fluent in German (C1) and English (B2).
- Ideally: Training / certificates in SCRUM and/or SAFe.

Develop with us the Next Generation Network Control System for the digital energy transition.
What makes this opportunity appealing: 50Hertz is developing the Next Generation Control Center Ecosystem (Modular Control Center System) to meet the digitalization requirements in the energy transition. You will be part of the Grid Monitoring and Control Product Line, leading the development of 'Control' for system management and Offshore Operations. This includes developing a comprehensive control product for all assets of system management and Offshore Operations, both for electrical assets and auxiliary systems. Join us in shaping this transformation and closely following the development of switching and control processes as well as software.
The Control team develops tools and processes for control and switching in the transmission network and in auxiliary systems such as Offshore platforms. These functionalities enable our system operators to reliably, robustly, and effectively control the transmission network, facilitating the safe integration of renewable energies and supporting the energy transition.
