- Support the definition of design input requirements during the concept & feasibility phase, assessing feasibility and defining possible technical solutions
- Design electronic and electrical hardware that meets the requirement specifications; focused on analogue and digital system designs related new products and modification of existing ones
- Develop plans for the components, assembly and system verification and validation as well as their implementation and evaluation (risk analysis, cost estimation)
- Create technical documentation related to product design (requirements, schematics, drawings), according to the internal quality management system and medical device regulations
- Support the investigation of customer complaints, investigating reported failure and identifying root cause
- Participate in interdisciplinary project teams, internal and external partners (e.g. suppliers), colleagues from different areas and people who work in different departments
- Apply common engineering methods, rules and tools and actively support the adoption of improvements
- Obsolescence Management; track obsolete components, evaluate risk, find alternatives, create/modify part specifications and/or re-design of related circuits
- Occasional travel may be required
- Degree in electronic engineering or related fields
- Experience with design of electrical or electronic components of medical devices
- Circuit design and board layout with professional CAD tools (e.g. Altium) from the point of view of manufacturing considerations and EMC criteria
- Knowledge of SW platform for Requirements-, Quality-, and Application Lifecycle Management (Polarion)
- Ensure compliance to medical device standards: IEC , IEC , ISO 14971, ISO 13485
- Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulations, MDD/MDR
- Very good knowledge of English in writing and speaking
- Team-oriented thinking and acting as well as communicating professionally in the internal environment of an international organization
- Accurate, taking on responsibility with a sense of purpose while possessing a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical and organizing skills and process design knowledge
- Experience in similar roles, preferably accrued in medical devices companies

Position Summary
The R&D Senior Electronic HW Engineer under limited supervision performs complex engineering work of a broad nature to achieve outcomes. Frequently uses and applies highly technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Successfully demonstrates an in-depth or breadth of engineering skills that can be applied in a number of experiences, using a considerable amount of judgment and originality. Has broad and in-depth understanding of the company's practices, policies, and therapies, and uses the knowledge effectively in its application.
Work with a team of multi-disciplinary members through all stages of development to own and implement complex electromechanical devices and systems.
