    As R&D Engineer in Grindaix you will work closely with the Sensor Technology Center of Innovation. Fueled by our ambitious digitalization and sustainability agenda, you will focus on sensor development for chemical process applications and staying ahead in the industry automation market trends.

    What will you do?

    • Develop and improve product technology (e.g. Sensors) used in a variety of manufacturing and mechanical systems
    • Design and manufacture equipment (prototyping, hardware design, firmware development)
    • Design, develop and perform specific prototype tests and determinations to answer questions and solve problems of the company's internal customers (QH FLUID INTELLIGENCETM)
    • Organize and handle of product certifications (e.g. CE) and documentation
    • Identify, evaluate, and select hardware suppliers
    • Support longer term research and development activities focused on sensor technology
    • Assist sensor manufacturing to improve the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process

    What are we looking for?

    Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

    Experience:

    • 4+ years related engineering experience.
    • Experience in electronical hardware development (Fusion 360, KiCAD)
    • Prototyping
    • Schematics, PCB design
    • Development of test environments
    • Development of quality control procedures
    • Firmware development and updates (C/C++)
    • Firmware testing
    • Firmware documentation
    • Experience in one or more of the following fields will be an added value: automation technology, control cabinet design, PLC programming, general product development processes, Organization of product certifications (CE, UL...), Experience in C#, Python.

    Location: Role based in Kerpen. NRW. Hybrid work arrangement.
