Job Title: Electrical Engineer at 50Hertz

Responsibilities:

• Bring expertise in control technology or protection technology to replacement and new construction projects, overseeing specialized projects independently,
• Collaborate within project teams, interface areas, and with contractual partners regularly as a team player,
• Manage projects from planning to commissioning, supervise service provider performance, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety measures,
• Take on the role of the focal point in the technical project, handling preparation, planning, and review of project documentation, budget requests and tracking, tendering, and procurement decisions,
• Contribute to the (further) development of (technical) guidelines, integrate new assets into substations, and be part of the project team for the latest technology,
• Design technical and economical variant comparisons for new construction and conversion projects, propose decision options, and examine alternatives for connecting self-consumption with customers and distribution system operators.

Requirements:

• Completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar fields,

Or

• Several years of professional experience makes the position available to Electricians, Electrical Masters, or Electrical Fitters with relevant focus,
• Thorough knowledge of digital control and protection technology,
• Understanding of communication protocols (IEC , -104),
• Proficient in Microsoft Office,
• Driving license for passenger cars,
• Languages: proficient in German (at least C1) and fluent in English (at least B2).

Nice to Have:

• Comprehensive understanding/knowledge of the interaction between primary and secondary technical processes in switching systems and substations at the high and extra-high voltage levels,
• Extensive knowledge of control technology concepts and functionalities,
• Skilled in electrical circuit documentation regarding process-related connections,
• Project and professional experience,
• Experience with SAP.
