Your Tasks

• You support the departments throughout the entire safety life cycle and ensure compliance with the safety life cycle (functional safety) in accordance with IEC 61508
• You supervise and coordinate external auditors and testing institutes (TÜV etc.)
• You are responsible for ensuring the standard-compliant implementation of safety functions / safety circuits / SIS protective devices within the FSM
• You create the verification and validation documentation for functional safety, SIL / PL calculations
• You act not only internally, but also externally as an expert and contact person for the topic of functional safety, and are in dialogue with partners such as notified bodies and approved monitoring bodies
• You work closely with the engineering team as a consultant and help design safety functions and calculations of failure probabilities

Your Profile

• You have a technical education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or plant engineering or similar fields
• Ideally, you have completed further training to become a functional safety engineer
• You have knowledge of the relevant regulations on functional safety, in particular IEC 61508, IEC 61511, IEC 62061, ISO 13849
• Knowledge of SW tools such as Sistema is an advantage
• You have knowledge of the Machinery Directive / Pressure Equipment Directive
• You enjoy working in a team and are open, proactive and communicative
• You are business fluent in written and spoken English and German
